About Craige & van Roden~

When we photograph your wedding, we work as a team, so we wanted to find a name to represent the collaborative spirit so essential to our photographic approach and style; a name to combine all of those elements.

So, we named our studio in honor of my grandmothers, Elizabeth Craige and Marie van Roden; women who in their day exemplified the grace and style that we always strive to capture when photographing your wedding; women who's early "collaboration" made my life possible.

When you choose Craige & van Roden to photograph your wedding you tap into the talent, wisdom and experience of our entire group, no matter which of us you select as your principal photographer. And you also tap into the rich tradition of elegance, grace and style that Elizabeth and Marie passed on to me, and to my family.

Cost and Location~
You can have exactly what you want when you work with us. Instead of standard "packages" we start with your hopes and dreams, give highest priority to what is most important to you, and then create a photography plan designed to match your goals.

We have no minimum. Most of our clients invest between three and seven thousand dollars to get the services and products that are important to them. For a detailed list of services and prices, please contact us to arrange an appointment at our studio.

Local or Destination?
We are "local" in every major city or small town along the east coast. This means that you won't have to pay for travel expenses if your wedding is between Miami and Bar Harbor, Cape Hatteras and Memphis. West of the Mississippi, or overseas we will need to discuss logistics, but your location will not be an issue for you or your budget.

Our photographers~
KC Ramsay began taking photographs at 14 with a borrowed twin lens reflex camera. He spent his high school and college years working on the school newspaper, yearbook and as the unofficial family photographer. A Fine Arts major, his wedding and portrait photography combines his love of painting and his enthusiasm for capturing authentic emotion as it happens. His work reflects his love of people of all ages.

Patricia Alder is in some ways the soul of Craige & van Roden. Her photography is reflection of who she is: kind, gentle, modest, generous, thoughtful and smart. She sees events that others miss: glances, expressions, emotions and the wonderful side shows that are part of every wedding and frequently missed by less accomplished photographers. Her intuitive approach to wedding photography is matched by her artistry: beautiful, direct photographs that are individually wonderful and collectively stunning. Patricia shares her gift for portraits through Patricia Alder Photography.

Charles Gupton has spent his career in photography, first as a photo journalist and then traveling the world creating advertising and corporate communications images for Fortune 500 companies as well as some of the nation's leading magazines. He brings his extraordinary skills and creative ability to each wedding, consistently producing many of our most amazing images. In addition to his light hearted and energetic wedding photography, Charles creates exceptional fine art portraits through his studio: Charles Gupton Portraits.
